Who we are...
Beamish Residential Care Home LTD, formally 'The Old Vicarage' West Pelton, was originally established in 1987 by Helen McArdle. It is currently a small privately owned and managed residential care, respite, day care and Emi facility. We provide a clean and safe environment, located in the North East, set in the rural location of Beamish in County Durham which benefits from beautiful surroundings and well-tendered garden.

We are regulated by the CQC (Care Quality Commission) and are proud to have received a good rating across all categories. We also have a contract with the local authority of Durham Council.
We have 19 single use bedrooms and two dual occupancy rooms here at Beamish Residential Care Home. Our kitchen staff take great pride in their work and this is reflected within our food hygiene rating, which is currently rated '5 Very Good'
We are committed to listening with great care to our residents and will go above and beyond to help meet any dietary requirements or other needs.

Residents care plans are meticulous and regularly updated to meet their needs accordingly.

We always go to great lengths to accommodate the individual wishes of residents, including providing the option of bringing items of furniture or any other personal effects with them in order to personalise their room to make them feel right at home.
